Truth will Out
Firstly, a huge apology to those of you who have supported me and are still waiting for the CD version of my debut solo E.P. and, at last some good news - it's nearly complete!
In the meantime, anyone who'd like mp3 versions of the original tracks please don't hesitate to drop me an email:
As to what I consider to be my finest work to date - Deadcuts' 2nd LP, “Hit On All Sixess” - that too, after over 3 gruelling years is now almost ready to master and press - recording's finished and the artwork, by the wonderful Sophie MacDonald is also complete.
I'm massively relieved that everyone who "pledged" money through Pledge Music have now been refunded in full and those of you still wanting a copy of the awesome 13-track vinyl or CD will very soon be able to pre-order a "boutique edition" through the new Deadcuts website and shortly thereafter via Rich Perri at Speedowax.
Official Release date for retailers is scheduled for 25/08/2017.
It's been an extraordinary journey and at times an extremely painful one for myself, Jerome and Cass. New bass player Aaron Scars who joined at the end of last year was fortunately spared some of the more gruesome experiences we suffered along the way.
On a personal note, many of you here know me, and know that even at the best of times I'm wrestling my demons - health struggles that I've lived with for as long as I can remember - anorexia, addiction, depression, chronic insomnia... There's still a legal issue involved here too so reluctantly I'm left gagged as to the real truth behind why making the follow up to Deadcuts' blinding debut “Dark Is The Night” back in 2014 has taken such a disproportionate amount of time.
Needless to say, the truth will eventually out - I'm just thoroughly grateful I've survived the experience. Ain't no drama. I just very nearly didn't.
Still… that was now. This is then! Love always God Bless xx Mark
